Ta Perix Taverna
Ta Perix Taverna is set in a former family home and decorated accordingly. It’s homey and unpretentious, rustic and charming, with a spacious garden area that gives the place a relaxed look and feel. Because it is a family-run business, the eatery is warm, full of soul. And, the best part is the food, of course.
The owners of Ta Perix Taverna value fresh produce considerably so their refresh the mezze menu accordingly to include the most exciting nibbles when in season: big snails in the winter months, zucchini blossoms stuffed with feta from June, agrélia (wild asparagus) in spring, and the list could go on. They list their special on one sheet of paper delivered promptly to your table as soon as you sit. The meze collection on this menu lists about fifty dishes including appetizers, charcoal meze, meat dishes on charcoal, boiled chows, and vegetables. Although most items on the menu are generally low-key, it’s not unusual to spot authentic specials that raise eyebrows with the more conformist diners. Are you brave enough to order the sheep’s head or baby pigeon?
