If you want to go shopping in Protaras you will find many boutiques selling arts and crafts, mini markets, Best Buy and Metro supermarkets, and even a mall. If you want souvenirs, look for handmade Lefkara (Lefkaritika) laces, leather goods, ceramics and pottery, hookah pipes, and other interesting items made in Cyprus. There are also many jewellery stores, some designer boutiques, and shops selling beachwear galore. Twice weekly, guests staying at Leonardo Crystal Cove Hotel & Spa – by the sea who want to go shopping in Protaras can take advantage of our complimentary bus shuttle.
It may not be as lively as neighbouring Ayia Napa at night, but Protaras still has a fair share of bars, pubs, and nightlife entertainment. Walk around the mains strip to find the best watering-holes for after-hours drinks and karaoke bars. There are also several nightclubs where DJs spin everything from rock ’n’ roll to trance and hip-hop, as well as beach clubs where you can party until the small hours of the morning.
Java Lounge is a relaxed cocktail bar and lounge just outside Protaras in Paralimni. It has an extensive menu of artisan drinks, spirits, and beer. Don’t worry if you are hungry: they serve fantastic bar bites, and their black Angus burgers are out of this world.
